Canada Day Hours

On Canada Day we'll be open from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Our resident author, Barbara-jo, will be in-house to wish all a Happy Canada Day and to sign her new book, Cooking for Me and Sometimes You.

Olympic Hours

As the world celebrates the 2010 Olympics, Barbara-Jo's Books to Cooks will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. everyday from February 6 through March 7.

Beginning February 12, be sure to drop by the shop for our free daily Olympic Antics from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Whether it's a foodie film, an informative workshop or a food-related quiz, you'll be well entertained. You can find the schedule of our Olympic Antics here.

December Shop Hours

Barbara-Jo's Books to Cooks will be open 7 days a week prior to Christmas to accommodate your shopping needs. We will be pleased to help you find the perfect culinary gifts for all the food enthusiasts on your list. Be sure to enjoy a cup of tea and some holiday baking while you browse.

Our December shop hours are:
December 21 to 23: 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
December 24: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
December 25 to 27 : Closed
December 28 to 30: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
December 31: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
January 1: Closed

December Shop Hours

In December we will be extending our Main Shop hours to accommodate holiday shopping.

Our Main shop hours will be as follows:
December 1-15: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays
Tuesday, December 16 to Friday December 19: 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, December 20 and Sunday, December 21: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Monday, December 22 and Tuesday, December 23: 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Christmas Eve, December 24: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Our shop in the Net Loft on Granville Island will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Christmas Eve the store closes at 4 p.m.

Both shops will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Main Shop Open on Sundays

Our Main Shop, located at 1740 West 2nd Avenue, is now open on Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. Drop by for an afternoon chat, a browse and a great book!
